Cotswolds & Wales






This tour features the rolling hills and pretty villages of the Cotswolds, famous for their lovely houses, gardens and magnificent churches then travels through the green valleys and spectacular mountains of Wales where the language and culture are very different.

Day one

Arrive at London Airport. Meet & greet.
Drive to Woodstock and visit Blenheim Palace.
Arrive at private home accommodation.

Day two

Explore the Cotswold villages for sightseeing and excellent shopping. Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford & Bibury. Visit Hidcote Manor Garden one of England’s finest gardens with wonderful views over the Cotswold countryside.

Day three

Drive to Wales stopping to visit magnificent Gloucester Cathedral, a beautiful building and location for the Harry Potter films. Stop in Hereford to see the famous Mappa Mundi, said to be the oldest map in the world and then take a scenic drive across the Welsh hills to your hotel.

Day four

Drive through the spectacular Black Mountains to visit Cardiff, the elegant and exciting Capital of Wales with its spectacular Castle. Time for lunch and shopping. Later visit the fairytale castle of Castell Coch set on a wooded hillside and drive through the famous Welsh ‘Valleys’ to return to your hotel.

Day five

More wonderful Welsh scenery as you drive through Brecon and Abergavenny to cross back into England via the great Severn Bridge. Spent the afternoon in the elegant city of Bath where you can visit the Roman Baths and perhaps the Museum of Costume and do some shopping before driving to your hotel.

Day six

Cross Salisbury Plain, an undulating windswept plateau and visit Stonehenge, the most famous of all pre-historic, megalithic monuments. Later drive into the ancient city of Salisbury to visit beautiful Salisbury Cathedral which was founded in 1220. Here you can see a copy of the 13th century document, Magna Carta, on which English law is based.
Drive to London for a short panoramic sightseeing tour to see the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace before checking-in to your hotel.
The evening is at leisure to go to the theatre or dine in the restaurant of your choice.
